Backend Engineer Lead
About the role
You will join a high impact engineering team that builds and maintains the core services of a global financial ecosystem. Your work will support high volume, real time transactions across multiple regions.
This is a hands-on role that requires strong technical depth, excellent problem-solving, and the ability to move fast in an environment that rewards ownership and decisive action.
You will help design and scale payment systems that move money across Latin America in milliseconds. The company processes tens of millions of transactions each month, and your code will directly affect millions of users who depend on faster and simpler cross border payments.
What makes this culture different
This is not a slow or political environment. It is intentionally designed for people who enjoy building, taking ownership, and making decisions with clarity and conviction.
Some elements of the manifesto that shape the day to day:
- Builders first: bureaucracy dies fast here, and action wins. People who build, test, and iterate thrive.
- Extreme ownership: each person fully owns outcomes, which accelerates learning and removes excuses.
- Act with conviction: decisions are made quickly, without waiting for consensus. Clear thinking and courage matter.
- Strategic discomfort: roles stretch you slightly beyond what you already master. Growth is intentional and constant.
- Radical candor: feedback is direct, immediate, and kind because clarity drives improvement.
- Absolute performance, zero politics: success is based on results, not status or alliances. Politics do not survive here.
- Flat and fast: decisions happen quickly, and hierarchy stays minimal to keep execution agile.
